Softball Recap: Taylor Takes a Loss

Anderson hit Taylor with a four-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Griffins came up short against the Titans, falling 10-2. The Griffins haven't had much luck with the Titans recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Taylor saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abby Smolenski ?28, who went 1-for-2 with two runs. Those runs were Smolenski ?28's first of the season.

Taylor now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Anderson, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Taylor will square off against Edsel Ford at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Griffins are facing the Thunderbirds at the right time seeing as the Thunderbirds are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Anderson, they will host Canton Preparatory at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
