Having struggled with ten defeats in a row, Life Waxahachie turned things around against Ferris on Tuesday. They walked away with a 37-28 victory over the Yellowjackets.

Meanwhile, Hillsboro hadn't done well against Alvarado recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Hillsboro put the hurt on Alvarado with a sharp 64-43 win. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 21 points or more this season.

Hillsboro's win came from a few key players Life Waxahachie will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Aaliyah Cephus, who went 7 of 9 on her way to 14 points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaliyah Mcguire, who went 5 of 7 on her way to 12 points and three steals.

Hillsboro's victory bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Life Waxahachie, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 4-18.
