Baseball Game Preview: Bolivar-Richburg Wolverines vs. Cuba-Rushford Rebels

Bolivar-Richburg has gone 9-1 against Cuba-Rushford recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Wolverines will be playing at home against the Rebels at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Things were looking good for Bolivar-Richburg after they put the first run on the board on Thursday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They lost 13-5 to Wellsville. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Landon Barkley made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Meanwhile, Cuba-Rushford fell victim to Fillmore and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 1-0.

Cuba-Rushford's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-7. As for Bolivar-Richburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.
