Recap: Oak Park-River Forest Huskies vs. Proviso East Pirates
The Oak Park-River Forest Huskies had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Proviso East by a score of 41-32 on Tuesday. The victory was just what Oak Park-River Forest needed coming off of a 81-25 defeat in their prior contest.
Oak Park-River Forest found their leader in underclassman Gabriella Chesney, who scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Chesney has scored all season. Shardae Spruille was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Oak Park-River Forest's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-22. As for Proviso East, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-17 record this season.
Oak Park-River Forest didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-27 loss vs. Trinity on the 7th. Proviso East will take on Kenwood at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
