Temple Christian Academy have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 52-51 to Potter's House Christian Blue.
Temple Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Troy Jenkins, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds. Jenkins is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Carpenter, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.
Temple Christian Academy's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-4. As for Potter's House Christian Blue, their win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 8-11.
Temple Christian Academy will face off against Cornerstone Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cornerstone Academy is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. Potter's House Christian Blue will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on University Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
