Basketball Game Preview: Mojave Rattlers vs. Bishop Gorman Gaels

Mojave is 0-4 against Bishop Gorman since December of 2014 but things could change on Tuesday. The Mojave Rattlers will head out to take on the Bishop Gorman Gaels at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Mojave's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Mojave is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Foothill, who was ranked 21st at the time (Mojave was ranked fourth). Mojave took their game on Thursday with ease, bagging an 81-42 win over Foothill. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Rattlers had established a 25 point advantage.

Meanwhile, Bishop Gorman strolled past Durango with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 61-47. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Gaels.

Mojave pushed their record up to 12-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.7 points per game. As for Bishop Gorman, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which somehow still isn't as good as their 15-4 record this season.

Mojave came up short against Bishop Gorman when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 72-65. Can Mojave avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
