Soccer Recap: Ashbrook Takes a Loss

Ashbrook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Shelby Golden Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Ashbrook of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2023.

Ashbrook's loss dropped their record down to 0-3-1. As for Shelby, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ashbrook will face off against North Mecklenburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shelby, they will take on Kings Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
