Basketball Game Preview: Decatur Golden Gators vs. Kent-Meridian Royals

Decatur hasn't had much luck against Kent-Meridian recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Decatur Golden Gators will be playing in front of their home fans against the Kent-Meridian Royals at 7:00 p.m. Decatur knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Kent-Meridian likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Decatur came up short against Enumclaw and fell 67-60.

Meanwhile, Kent-Meridian came into Monday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They secured a 39-34 W over Seattle Academy on Monday.

Decatur's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Kent-Meridian, their victory bumped their record up to 4-9.

Decatur ended up a good deal behind Kent-Meridian in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, losing 75-59. Can Decatur avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
