Soccer Game Preview: California vs. Southern Boone

California's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

California came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 6-0 to Smithton.

Meanwhile, Southern Boone had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 goals) and they went ahead and made it ten on Thursday. They never let the Blue Birds get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. Southern Boone might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 games by three goals or more this season.

Southern Boone's win was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-4. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 67 goals over those nine contests. As for California, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-16.
