Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jordan Hunt and Evan Cervantes Lead Dr. Phillips to Victory

Dr. Phillips waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Ridge Community Bolts 3-0.

While Dr. Phillips won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-23, 25-13.

Leading Dr. Phillips to victory were Evan Cervantes and Jordan Hunt. Cervantes had 12 digs and one assist, while Hunt had three digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Hunt a new career-high.

Dr. Phillips' record now sits at 7-3. As for Ridge Community, they dropped their record down to 5-8 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Dr. Phillips will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Colonial at 6:30 p.m. As for Ridge Community, they will venture away from home to square off against Davenport at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Broncos will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Bolts surely won't give up without a fight.
