Volleyball Recap: Caldwell Comes Up Short

After flying high against Frontier on Wednesday, Caldwell came back down to earth. The Redskins fell just short of the Conotton Valley Rockets by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Redskins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rockets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Caldwell took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-20, 22-25, 22-25, 25-18, 15-13.

Caldwell's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Conotton Valley, their win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Caldwell will take on Shenandoah at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Conotton Valley, they will face off against Tuscarawas Central Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
