Volleyball Recap: Churubusco Eagles vs. Westview Warriors
Churubusco suffered their biggest defeat since August 18th on Thursday. They came up short against the Westview Warriors, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.
Churubusco was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Westview work for it, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-14, 27-25.
Churubusco lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Cora Boersema, who had eight digs and two aces. Alyssa Marks was another key player, getting 12 assists and five digs.
