Basketball Recap: Erick Extends Winning Streak to Five

Erick came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 60-53 victory over the Fargo/Gage Bearcats. Given Erick's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 150th, while Fargo/Gage is ranked 389th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Erick is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Fargo/Gage, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-14.

Erick has already played their next game, a 53-50 win against Duke on the 1st. As for Fargo/Gage, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Fargo/Gage Bearcats take on the Laverne Tigers at 8:00 p.m. on Monday.
