Basketball Recap: Houston Extends Road Winning Streak to Six

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hayfield, Houston was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They took down the St. Charles Fighting Saints 56-40. The Hurricanes' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Houston got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Emily Botcher out in front who posted 11 points and eight rebounds. Botcher also put up a block, which washer first of the season. Jorja Meyer was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards.

Houston pushed their record up to 15-8 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for St. Charles, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-19.

Looking ahead, Houston will square off against Lanesboro at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Charles, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Dover-Eyota at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
