Basketball Recap: Cripple Creek-Victor Comes Up Short

Cripple Creek-Victor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 47-27 to the South Park Burros. The Pioneers were not able to make up for their loss to the Burros from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Despite the loss, Cripple Creek-Victor still got an impressive performance from Chase Lohmeier, who posted 11 points.

Cripple Creek-Victor's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for South Park, the win snapped their losing streak at ten games and leaves them with a 2-11 record.

Cripple Creek-Victor wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 38-29 loss against Centennial on the 29th. South Park has also already played their next contest, a 54-22 defeat against Custer County on the 31st.
