Basketball Recap: Middle College Cougars vs. Foshay Wolverines
Middle College lost against Foshay back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Middle College Cougars fell to the Foshay Wolverines 61-55.
Foshay was led to victory by Shomare' Gray and Peter Egwurube. Gray posted 25 points in addition to seven steals, while Egwurube dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. Egwurube continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Julian Chavez, who earned three points plus seven steals.
Middle College's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Foshay, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-5.
Middle College will be defending their home-court for the first time this season they go up against Math & Science College Preparatory at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Foshay has already played their next contest (against Middle College), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
