Recap: Academy of the Holy Names Jaguars vs. Robinson Knights
Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to post ten more assists than your opponent, a fact the Academy of the Holy Names Jaguars proved on Friday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 62-30 win over Robinson. The win made it back-to-back wins for Academy of the Holy Names.
Academy of the Holy Names' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hailey Scott led the charge by scoring 16 points along with 8 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucy Morey, who scored 12 points along with 8 assists and 6 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Robinson still got an impressive performance from Ava Godfrey, who scored 19 points along with 3 steals.
Academy of the Holy Names' win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Robinson, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Academy of the Holy Names will square off against Armwood at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Robinson, they will take on Bloomingdale at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Bloomingdale focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Friday.
