Aptos scaled the state rankings by moving to 311 from 414 this week, the biggest jump in Santa Cruz Coast. The Mariners were able to move up by topping Scotts Valley 49-0.

The Falcons fell to Aptos 49-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.

6-foot-2 quarterback Isaac Newberry of San Lorenzo Valley is the league leader in passing yards this season with 656. He has also thrown 4 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Alex Morris. The Santa Cruz star has 19 catches for 298 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Randy Blankenship's team takes on Soquel. The Mariners are currently in second, while the Knights are in third.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Aptos takes on Soquel. The Mariners have allowed 103 points this season, while Ron Myers' team has given up 135. Aptos allowed 0 points last week as it topped Scotts Valley.

Santa Cruz led the league in scoring this week by notching 56 points on Harbor.
