Soccer Game Preview: White vs. Creekview

The White Longhorns will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on the Creekview Mustangs at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

White is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Richardson. The Longhorns' defense stepped up to hand the Eagles a 1-0 shutout on Tuesday. The game was the first time White have beaten Richardson on their pitch since February 21, 2020.

Meanwhile, Creekview rang in the new year with a 5-3 win over South Garland on Tuesday. Rubie Smith had to tread lightly for part of the match after she was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble Creekview got from the refs.

Everything went White's way against Creekview in their previous meeting back in March of 2022, as White made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Longhorns repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
