Baseball Game Preview: Carlisle Wildcats vs. A-D-M Tigers

The Carlisle Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the A-D-M Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Carlisle's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so A-D-M's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Carlisle is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Winterset on Monday as they made off with an 18-1 win. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Wildcats with their most commanding win of the season.

Meanwhile, A-D-M didn't have quite enough to beat Ballard on Monday and fell 6-4.

Carlisle's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-7. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for A-D-M, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Carlisle took their victory against A-D-M in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 7-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
