Basketball Recap: Academy of Notre Dame Takes a Loss

Academy of Notre Dame lost against Rockport back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Academy of Notre Dame Lancers had to suffer through an 81-47 loss at the hands of the Rockport Vikings. The Lancers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Lancers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isiah Ferguson, who posted 15 points. The contest was Ferguson's fifth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Marquez, who had ten points.

Academy of Notre Dame's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Rockport, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-7.

Academy of Notre Dame has already played their next match, a 76-60 loss against Nashoba Valley Tech on the 10th. As for Rockport, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-52 victory against Amesbury on the 10th.
