Gloucester faced Bedford in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Fishermen fell just short of the Buccaneers by a score of 2-1. The Fishermen's loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Gloucester's defeat dropped their record down to 14-3. As for Bedford, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-1.
