Softball Game Preview: Putnam Kingsmen vs. Centennial Eagles

For the second straight game, Putnam will face off against Centennial. The Kingsmen will welcome the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Putnam not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 3, 2024 (when they won 11-1). They blew past Centennial 13-5. The Kingsmen haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

For Centennial's part, Claire Carron made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run was Carron's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Amiah Rau, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

With the defeat, Centennial broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-14. As for Putnam, their win bumped their record up to 6-13.
