Basketball Recap: Saranac Lake Takes a Loss

Saranac Lake played a tough game on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Saranac Spartans 71-32. The Red Storm were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-12.

Despite the loss, Saranac Lake still got an impressive performance from Emma Akey, who posted 21 points. That was a full 65.6% of the Red Storm's points, marking the third time in a row Akey has earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlyn Tomaszewski, who put up seven points.

Saranac Lake now has a losing record of 1-2.
