Basketball Recap: Island Coast Find Success

Cypress Lake came into Friday's match looking for another win against Island Coast, but Jose Bido wouldn't allow it. The Island Coast Gators took down the Cypress Lake Panthers 62-43 on Friday thanks in part to Bido, who posted 22 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in January of 2024.

Island Coast's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Cypress Lake, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Island Coast won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Marco Island Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Island Coast is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.2 points per game this season. As for Cypress Lake, they are taking a road trip to square off against Fort Myers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Fort Myers' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
