Football Recap: Jurupa Valley Comes Up Short

Jurupa Valley extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 11 on Friday, dropping them down to 0-7. They lost 32-11 to the Rubidoux Falcons. The Jaguars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

As for Rubidoux, their record is now 2-5. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Rubidoux was led to victory by Joshua Green and Jesus Vasquez. Green rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, while Vasquez gained 119 total yards and a touchdown. Those 123 rushing yards gave Green a new career-high.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Jurupa Valley will take on La Sierra at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Jaguars will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 26.14 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Rubidoux, they will face off against Patriot at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight.
