Baseball Game Preview: Central City Value Jaguars vs. Collins Family Jaguars

Central City Value will venture away from home to square off against Collins Family at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Central City Value's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last five matchups.

While Central City Value's victory against Animo Bunche wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Jaguars sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-9 win over the Stallions on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Collins Family fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Downtown Magnets last Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They lost 23-14 to the Suns. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dhyan Patel was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Central City Value is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.4 runs over those games. As for Collins Family, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 4-6.

Central City Value suffered a grim 17-1 defeat to Collins Family when the teams last played back in March. Can Central City Value avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
