It was a good run, but Lodi unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Chico Panthers by a score of 9-8.

Santino Ramirez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Whiting, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Lodi's loss dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Chico, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-1.

Coming up, Lodi will welcome St. Mary's at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Chico, they will venture away from home to challenge Pleasant Valley at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
