Basketball Recap: Devine Has No Trouble Against Uvalde

Devine was handed a heart-breaking two-point defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Uvalde on Tuesday. The Devine Warhorses put the hurt on the Uvalde Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) with a sharp 81-58 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Warhorses as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Devine's win bumped their record up to 12-14. As for Uvalde, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.

Devine has already played their next game (against Carrizo Springs), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Uvalde will host Somerset at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Somerset has six straight victories, Uvalde has nine straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
