Football Game Preview: Chester Yellowjackets vs. Alpha Omega Academy Lions + How To Watch

The Chester Yellowjackets will venture away from home to face off against the Alpha Omega Academy Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Chester will bounce into Thursday's game after beating Oakwood, who they had gone 1-7 against in their eight prior meetings. The Yellowjackets walked away with a 69-56 win over the Panthers last Friday. Given the Yellowjackets' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked first, while the Panthers are ranked 38th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Alpha Omega Academy). They were the clear victors by a 76-54 margin over First Baptist Christian on Friday. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 22 points or more this season.

The victory keeps Chester at an undefeated 4-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 63.5 points this season. As for Alpha Omega Academy, their record is now 4-1.

Chester took a serious blow against Alpha Omega Academy in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 54-6. Can the Yellowjackets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
