Volleyball Recap: McKinney Boyd Comes Up Short

McKinney Boyd lost against Keller back in August of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Broncos fell just short of the Indians by a score of 2-1. While the Broncos didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Indians 25-13 in the first set.

McKinney Boyd actually scored more points across those three sets (65-63), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 13-25, 25-17, 25-23.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Keller to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ansley Shafer, who had 11 digs. Another player making a difference was Carley Ward, who had 14 digs and one assist.

McKinney Boyd's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Keller, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-1.

McKinney Boyd didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Plano West on the 26th. As for Keller, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Plano East on the 23rd.
