Basketball Recap: Victory Baptist Takes a Loss

Victory Baptist saw some tournament action on Thursday. They took a hard 60-46 fall against the Young Americans Christian Eagles.

Despite the loss, Victory Baptist still got an impressive performance from Isaiah Davis, who posted 12 points, to go along with five boards and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Eric Banks Jr, who put up ten points, to go along with five rebounds and three steals.

Leading Young Americans Christian to victory were Gabe Cambell and Damian Crawford. Cambell had 19 points, while Crawford posted 18 points. Another player making a difference was Nick Holloway, who put up nine points.

Victory Baptist has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Young Americans Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Victory Baptist wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 49-47 win against Tournament Team on the 6th. As for Young Americans Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 72-69 victory against Fideles Christian on the 6th.
