Football Recap: Vintage Crushers vs. Las Lomas Knights
Vintage couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They received a blow on Friday as they fell 28-14 to the Las Lomas Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Crushers of the 34-22 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2023.
Although Vintage took the loss, they still got scores from Lucas Henry and Jake Boldway.
Dylan Thomas was a one-man wrecking crew for Las Lomas as he threw for 261 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes. Roman Mercado helped Thomas out on the ground, picking up 99 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Vintage will face off against Fairfield at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Las Lomas, they will welcome Benicia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
