Basketball Recap: Percy Julian Victorious

Wetumpka typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Percy Julian proved too difficult a challenge. They snuck past the Wetumpka Indians with a 59-54 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 70-50 last Thursday.

Despite the loss, Wetumpka still got an impressive performance from Nolan Fitch, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Fitch a new career-high in steals (six). Justin Godwin was another key player, putting up seven points along with eight assists and eight boards.

Percy Julian's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-13. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.0 points per game. As for Wetumpka, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-5.
