Baseball Recap: Thief River Falls Comes Up Short

Thief River Falls was the 21-1 winner over Badger/Greenbush-Middle River when they last played one another back in April of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Prowlers took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gators on Tuesday. The Prowlers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Thief River Falls saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Johnson, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double. Gabe Haugen was another, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Thief River Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Badger/Greenbush-Middle River, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Thief River Falls will square off against Hawley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Badger/Greenbush-Middle River, they will head out to take on Warroad at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
