Volleyball Recap: Washington Takes a Loss

Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Davenport Central Blue Devils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 last Saturday.

Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Davenport Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season.

Washington didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Iowa City West on the 13th. As for Davenport Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Springville on the 11th.
