Basketball Game Preview: Kim/Branson Mustangs vs. Walsh Eagles

Kim/Branson has gone a perfect 10-0 against Walsh recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Kim/Branson Mustangs will host the Walsh Eagles at 3:00 p.m. Kim/Branson will be strutting in after a win while Walsh will be coming in after a loss.

Last Monday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Kim/Branson beat Holly 34-29. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Kim/Branson found their leader in sophomore Kennedy Cranson, who went 7-for-16 to rack up 19 points and eight steals. Cranson has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 15 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Gabriela Rios, who posted six points and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Walsh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were beaten by Moscow 48-19. The Eagles were down 41-13 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Walsh's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Kim/Branson, their win bumped their record up to 11-7.

Kim/Branson beat Walsh 43-31 in their previous matchup back in January. Does Kim/Branson have another victory up their sleeve, or will Walsh turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
