Basketball Game Preview: Minster Wildcats vs. Fort Loramie Redskins

The Minster Wildcats will challenge the Fort Loramie Redskins at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Minster took a loss when they played away from home last Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They skirted past Versailles 54-52. The win was all the more spectacular given the Wildcats' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 250th, while the Tigers are ranked 58th).

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Fort Loramie's strategy against Mississinawa Valley on Saturday. Fort Loramie took down Mississinawa Valley 41-27. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Redskins.

The victory got Minster back to even at 5-5. As for Fort Loramie, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.

Minster beat Fort Loramie 44-35 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Will Minster repeat their success, or does Fort Loramie have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
