Basketball Recap: Bayside Academy Drops Highest Score of Season Against Mobile Christian

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bayside Academy). They walked away with a 64-57 win over the Mobile Christian Leopards on Tuesday. For the Admirals, this counts as revenge for the 57-52 victory the Leopards walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Hakeem Winston and Rico Prince certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Winston posted 19 points in addition to seven assists and seven rebounds, while Prince went 8 for 11 on his way to 16 points. The contest was Prince's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Sema'J Law was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten boards.

The win was the fourth in a row for Bayside Academy, bringing their record for this year to 9-10. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.5 points per game. As for Mobile Christian, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bayside Academy will take on Cottage Hill Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cottage Hill Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Bayside Academy likes a good challenge. Mobile Christian has already played their next game (against Bayside Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
