League recap: Thomas-Fay-Custer tops Apache to extend winning streak

Thomas-Fay-Custer extended the longest winning streak in A District 2 this week by beating Apache, 42-6. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Terriers.

Cordell took down Carnegie 46-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Burns Flat-Dill City's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Justin Perez threw for 79 and one touchdown and Arron Knight had 75 yards receiving. On the ground Michael People chipped in 77 yards. People helped Burns Flat-Dill City's passing attack out by catching one ball for six yards.

Burns Flat-Dill City's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Eagles feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Tony Dorman has thrown for 169 yards and one touchdown this season, while Perez has seven catches for 105 yards. People leads the league in rushing with 257 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Sayre takes on Thomas-Fay-Custer. As it stands, the Eagles are in fifth, while Bob Ward's team is in first.

Sayre led A District 2 in scoring this week after putting up 49 points on the Eagles.
