Softball Recap: Strayhorn Mustangs vs. Potts Camp Cardinals
Strayhorn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell just short of the Potts Camp Cardinals by a score of 6-5. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Strayhorn of the 12-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Monday.
For Potts Camp's part, Alyssa Clifton made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Clifton was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-3 with two runs, a triple, and an RBI.
In other batting news, Charlie Holmes was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, a triple, and a run.
