Soccer Game Preview: Eisenhower vs. Southmoore

The Eisenhower Eagles will challenge the Southmoore SaberCats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Eisenhower came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Norman North, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, Eisenhower can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma soccer rankings (they are ranked 38th, while Norman North are ranked second).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Southmoore, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. Everything went their way against Yukon on Tuesday as they made off with a 5-2 victory. Considering Southmoore have won five contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Southmoore moved to 9-7 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Eisenhower, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season.
