While Big Lake's victory against Zimmerman wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Hornets won by a run and slipped past the Thunder 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Hornets have posted since April 29, 2025.

Brady Goedker was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Caleb Martin was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Big Lake and bumps their season record up to 2-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Zimmerman, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.
