Watsonville is 8-2 against Salinas since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Watsonville Wildcatz will head out to take on the Salinas Cowboys at 5:45 p.m.

Watsonville will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Palma on Thursday. Watsonville beat Palma by a goal, winning 4-3. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Wildcatz's disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 672nd, while the Chieftains are ranked 295th).

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in December of 2024, Salinas was forced to settle for a draw on Thursday. They and Pajaro Valley finished up their contest with a 2-2 draw.

Salinas' draw makes their record 5-2-4 this season. As for Watsonville, the win got them back to even at 2-2-5.
