Softball Recap: Scituate Takes a Loss

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Scituate was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They lost 20-2 to the Portsmouth Patriots. If the Spartans were looking for revenge after losing 8-4 to the Patriots when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Scituate now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Portsmouth, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Scituate is set to challenge their familiar foe Barrington at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Portsmouth will square off against rival East Greenwich at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
