With a playoff win on the line, West Craven rose to the challenge on Friday. They claimed a resounding 41-6 win over the Roanoke Rapids Yellowjackets. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won seven matchups by 23 points or more so far this season.

DJ Davis continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 262 yards and five touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes, and also rushing for 64 yards on only nine carries. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (157.9). West Craven's leading receiver Jeremiah Leigh was Davis' top target yet again, picking up 122 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

West Craven's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.0 points over those games. As for Roanoke Rapids, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.

Looking ahead, West Craven will look to defend their home field on Friday against T.W. Andrews at 7:00 p.m. Roanoke Rapids does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
