3A - North recap November 5, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in 3A - North this week, Judge Memorial beat North Sanpete 35-0. This was the team's ninth consecutive win.
Judge Memorial took down the Hawks 35-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Kaden Elliss ran for 122 yards in the win.
Grantsville's dynamic duo of Nephi Meono and Wyatt Smith proved tough for Juab to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Meono threw for 127 yards and 1 touchdown and Smith had 71 yards receiving. Ky Fisher helped Grantsville's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 34 yards.
Elliss provided a threat through the air and on the ground as James Cordova's team bested North Sanpete. He completed 2 passes for 18 yards and also ran for 122 yards.
Bryce Dugmore was a key player and the best on defense this week as Emery lost to Manti. The 5-foot-8 sophomore racked up 1 sack.
Union's Tye Winterton and Nic Smith led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Winterton has thrown for 1,437 yards this season, while Smith has 29 catches for 657 yards. The Spartans' Marco Mota leads the league in rushing yards with 1,189.
In 142 carries Gavin Nielsen has accumulated 937 yard this year.
The Bulldogs led the league in scoring this week by notching 35 points on Matt Roberts' team. Elliss during the win.
