Baseball Recap: Entrepreneur Comes Up Short

Entrepreneur was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Crossroads Christian Warriors.

Rudy Rubio was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Tono Fregoso made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Entrepreneur's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Crossroads Christian, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Coming up, Entrepreneur will challenge Packinghouse Christian Academy at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Crossroads Christian, they will head out to take on The Grove School on Tuesday.
