Volleyball Game Preview: Rhinelander Hodags vs. Medford Raiders

Rhinelander hasn't had much luck against Medford recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Hodags are taking a road trip to square off against the Raiders at 7:00 p.m.

Rhinelander came up short against Northland Pines on Tuesday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Hodags have suffered against the Eagles since October 9, 2021.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-11, 25-8.

Medford not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 22, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on Merrill with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raiders.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-12, 25-16.

Rhinelander's loss dropped their record down to 2-26. As for Medford, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.

Rhinelander might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Medford in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Hodags avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
