It's playoff time, and John Carroll Catholic had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the Montverde Academy Eagles with a sharp 12-2 win on Monday. The victory was nothing new for the Rams as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Taggert Cameron was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brennan Jones, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

John Carroll Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Montverde Academy only posted an OBP of .211.

John Carroll Catholic's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-9. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Montverde Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-10.

John Carroll Catholic will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
